Decent protection from windproof panels, but still decently breathable thanks to porous areas, extra insulation in front panels, pockets work with a pack or harness, handy hood, plus fabric feels pleasant and has lots of stretch for an adaptable fit. |

Not as protective as a full-on windproof soft shell when things get gnarly, hood has super floppy brim, cut is quite generous if you're on the slim side of athletically built. A tad warm when the going gets hot. |
