Its ok but......not great

Fit is reasonable - relaxed and not tight
robust
ok to wear as baselayer or midlayer
bit heavy for what it is
not that warm - better off with a fleece top
neither one thing or the other really
I got this second hand so wasnt expecting fireworks. The fit is ok and allows you to stretch and move without restriction. Its comfy enough and I have been able to wear it as a baselayer or a midlayer. Its just that it really isnt quite warm enough to be simialr to a fleece and not really light enought to be a windshirt and its quite heavy for a baselayer!
I guess that underneath the Aspira or the Alta fr instance it would work better as a system. Havent really gotten it wet so dont know how quickly it dries after a downpour.
Its ok. It just doesnt float my boat and it sits in limboland for functionality

WORKS BETTER THAN IT LOOKS - JUST

Wicks well (until it wets out)
Handwarmer pocket
On a long trip, wets out and stays wet
Odd-looking
Too expensive
I used to be a big fan, but after a two-day very wet backpack, I found my mountain pull-on wetted out and stayed wet - really wet - for the whole trip. Also you look like a crew-member of the USS Enterprise

GOOD LIGHTWIGHT TOP

fairly windproof and as effective as a fleece with minimal weight and vent
tight fitting
good piece of kit i also bought an explorer pull on at the same time and the sizes although both large are totally different lesson is try before you buy for the sake of £5 i much prefer the explorer pull on

LOOKS CAN DECEIVE - IT'S SURPRISINGLY WARM

warm. wicks moisture magically leaving the inner fluffy face dry and the outer wet. extremely comfortable. more windproof than a fleece.
warm. it won't wear out.
can wear next to skin but i prefer a base underneath. this with a velez top one day. below zero when i set out warming up later. needless to say i sweated quite a lot because i couldn't be bothered to take the smock off. base layer - dry. inner face of pull on - dry. outer face of pull - wet/damp.
works extremely well under a windtop.
