GOOD QUALITY MAGAZINE

Great quality with fantastic photos. With very help full navigation tips.
Not enough gear reviews with alot of un-relavent editorial.
Out of all the magazines out there this is my favioute. I find it user freindly. Me been a fan of landscape photos this offers some great imagies to look at and wish you were there.
Not a bad price aswell.

A BIT LECTURING

Its got hills in it.
It spends most of its time telling you that you're not worthy.
I find TGO a bit ranty. I know there are issues and responsibilites, but there is also (gasp) fun. I can't help but feel a day in the hills with the generally hollier than thou staff would be a bit of a nightmare.

And one of the blokes that does the kit reviews looks a bit like Francis Drake, with pointy beard etc.

traditional hillwalking magazine

Variety of contributors including Chris Fenn, Chris Townsend, Cameron McNeish. Includes features from north of the border. None of the mistakes Trail seems to be making and cheaper too. Glossy print. 2nd hand sales column.
Fewer features than Trail. Only printed once a month!
Great Value for money and available in loads of shops. Published in Scotland!!! :D
