Great warm stuff. Very versatile.
Very warm, wide temperature range.
Very felxible, since thumbloops allow to leave your gloves at home if it's not too cold, while the high collar and zipper make life easier when it gets warmer. Collar fits perfectly, while the zipper doesn't feel like it will poke my chin. No pong.
I know it's merino, but it itches which means I'm always wearing a t-shirt underneath.
When wet, it gets quite heavy.
While not actually cheap, the top offers value for money. I love to wear it as second layer, perhaps with a fleece on top if it gets really cold.

WARM WHEN WET
Keeps you warm
Wicks well - but not as well as synthetic
Sleeve design great for climbing
You can wear it for days(not hours) without ponging
No static light display when you take it off
Manages heat well, even when wet, so it's warm when you're cold
Zipper difficult with gloves
Price
Fantastic base layer - I wear this on it's own under a paramo shell for most active days outdoors spring to autumn, and it's great.

WETS OUT BUT EVEN I CAN'T MAKE IT STINK
It's really true what they say about merino's ability to resist minging. It's the way to go if you want to wear the same top day after day - I did and noody complained. I complain to myself if I wear polyester more than once. Luxurious to just sit around in.
It takes a while to dry, and it ain't cheap.
On a one-dayer when I want best-possible moisture management I'd go for something else. When I want something to wear for days on end, this is what I'd choose.

WARM WHEN NEEDED
comfy! warm when wet, wide temperature-operating range, doesn't smell, thumb loops cool, zip good .
not cheap. collar flaps about a bit if you run with the zip fully undone
I run in one during the winter...and cycle....and sit about in it...
It's still warm when wet, was fine for running in the wind and snow, even when snow caked all over the outside. And it lasts for days! No complaints when 'experimented' wearing it for a week, cycling to work 6 times, running 3 times & wearing it until it was dry...

COMFORTABLE EVEN WHEN IT'S DAMP
Comfort, naturalness and its non-pong tendencies.
Tends to hold moisture longer than synthetics and takes longer to dry.
Nice winter-weight baselayer top which, while it doesn't manage moisture as well as some synthetics, is still nice and comfortable even when wet. Warm too and natural, but not cheap.
