FANTASTIC

Incredibly warm
Very windproof, my hands turned felt light in the wind!
Surprisingly waterproof...
None
Best value mitts on the market, friends of mine reccommended Buffalo and initially I doubted them... Oh how wrong I was. I put them on and immediately my hands were too warm... Okay it wasn't exactly glove weather, but immediate sweating suggests these are pretty damned warm.

If these broke I'd buy a new pair as soon as the money was available

VERY GOOD, STILL ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT

Surprisingly warm
Lightweight & pack small
Maintain some dexterity
Extremely windproof
Sizing/fit a bit odd, try before you buy. Especially the "crotch" between thumb and fingers.
Not waterproof, though the way they deal with wet weather is good.
Velcro wrist closure could perhaps be trimmed a little.
Could be £5 less.
These are a great compromise between bulk and warmth. They are warmer than some much thicker "boxing gloves" I've tried, but easier to stuff in your pack or pockets.
They don't claim to be waterproof, but when water does get through it isn't too unpleasant and they do maintain some warmth. Can still take them off and put them back on again when wet, which is impossible with some gloves.
Best all round gloves I've found. Wish they would improve the shape/cut slightly. I would also love a cycling-specific version as they are great against windchill.

PERFECT FOR WINTER WALKING

Light, packs small, warm (even when wet), water resistant.
Not waterproof, try them on to check sizing before you buy.
I bought these as a back-up glove for a winter climbing trip. I ended up wearing them more than anything else. The pile feels warm and dry, even wehn the gloves are damp. They are perfect for keeping your hands warm while walking in snowy conditions.

SURPRISING REALLY

Very lightweight, take up little space and fast drying.
Mitts never fit like gloves do they? There are no clips to clip them together. I am thinking about having strings up the sleeves!
I bought two pairs of these, one for the other half and one for me. My first thought when I opened the packaging was "these will be crap". How wrong could I be. Don't be fooled by the lightweight construction, they really are quite warm. At £20 a pair they still seem expensive, but what price warm hands is the way that we should be thinking. The acid test is if I lost them would I buy another pair. I would despite the way that mitts fit so awkwardly. Do the wrist straps up tight and you will get more comfort and a better fit.
