These are my spare pair and I have others in the car for when you need to scrape the car free of snow and ice.

I can not praise these mittens enough, they are no faff, no frills mittens that do as they say on the tin.
Not only do I have a spare pair with me, but I have them in both our cars to wear if stuck or need to wear something to scrape the car free of snow and ice.

My mother in law will not wear anything else now whilst she is out and about.
Try them on first as they are a bit on the small side I think.
You will do well to beat these I think anyway!

CHEAP, GREAT, INDESTRUCTIBLE

In addition to all the other comments, see below(above?) 1. they are really easy to put on when your hand is wet and cold (other gloves can be a nightmare if the inner gets wet) and 2. they can go on either hand - I only discovered this in a blizzard on Cairngorm this summer(?) when they were covered in ice.
Yes, you take them off to do the compass stuff.
Brilliant, can't think of the temperature that will give you cold hands with these on.

OLD SCHOOL, BUT WORK VERY WELL.

Very warm, even when wet.
Loss of dexterity, plus no grip dots means that you often have to take them off to carry out any manual tasks.
Might not want these as my only gloves but paired up with some good liners and you simply will not have cold hands. Worth noting that the sizing can be on the small side and you may want to get a size bigger than normal.

EVEN WET THEY WORK

warm up even the coldest hand
not a fashion runner but up on the mountains in the teeth of winter who cares
if you suffer from bad circulation and feel the cold buy a pair and feel more in control when the weather is extreme.
