CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THIS CUFFED HEAD MUFF STUFF.

As John said in his superb review, it covers your ears when cycling or hiking but also rolls up or turns up as you wish. Cosy and just warm enough. Doesn't feel as sweaty as the plethora of other hats I own.
errr
Get the black one and you're instantly a member of a swat team! No, the SAS. Er, tubby bloke in a hat.

TRIUMPH OF FUNCTION OVER STYLE

Lightweight and compact, extremely breathable & fast drying as with all LIFA gear, layers well under wool or fleece hat or on its own for warmer weather / high exertion.
At best looks like you're going swimming - at worst looks like you've accidentally stuck a contraceptive on your head. Have no shame... it's an excellent product and your head will thank you for it!
I love my LIFA hat and have gone beyond caring how utterly daft I look when I wear it out running in the winter. Here's a few reasons why it is a must have item in my book. It fits well under a cycle helmet to cut out winter chill & the worst of the rain - without loss of hearing or visibility(notice why biker's raincoats don't usually have hoods!). Likewise for climbing helmet or any other headwear for that matter. It fits in your pocket when you don't need it and dries out as fast as you would expect for Helly Lifa. It doesn't overheat, unlike most fleece hats if you try to run any distance in them. It works extremely well as a baselayer under a fleece/wool hat or a shell hood, whisking sweat away before you notice it accumulate.

So, I admit, it looks silly. Especially mine in classic Helly navy blue... Bring out the Gimp. That's why I rate the value at only 3 as you'll be forced to move house or buy a disguise. But as I have no shame, it's one of the first pieces of gear I pack for any outdoor sport once the temperatures start to fall. Thanks Helly... my ears salute you.

P.S. as I have a shaved head, I use this kind of hat more than most people would need to.
