Deep winter down bargin

I have had mine for three years now. What a bargin it was half the price of the top manufacturers.I carry it when backpacking and day walking in the winter months and put it on as soon as I stop. The down stops in place so there is no cold spots. Good adjustment at hem and hood.Packs down small enough. great for around camp, walking the dogs and down the pub. dries out quick.Good zips and pockets.
I could be picky and say it's 200g heavier than other simler jackets on the market. You have to respect down and keep it as dry as possible.
I has been a good investment considering the type of winters we are getting latley. This is a well designed jacket and if yuo put a top manufacturers lable on it you would not know the diference. No signs of wear and tear after three years use.

GREAT ITEM AT GREAT PRICE

Nice womens fit, I like the lower back length and find it very snug to wear.
No adjusting on the sleeves.
Could do with an XS size but they don't make this size
Better fit for women than the other makes I tried

Warmth at a price you just can't refuse

High fill power down
amazing price
Range of colours
detatchable hood
good pockets
drop tail at back(prophylaxis against CBS[cold butt syndrome])
not very water resistant shell
not the lightest beast in the world
velcro-y bits on cuffs sometimes catch on fleecy pocket linings
as far as my research show me you ust cant get this level of quality warmth for this sort of price anywhere else. this is worthy of the alpkit brand...great quality low price

IT'S ALPKIT, SO EXCELLENT VALUE

Obviously the price first and foremost. It's toasty warm, has nice cut provided you don't mind the drop tail and feels snuggly to wear.
Does shed a bit of down, quite heavy compared to some more expensive jackets. Sometimes too warm!
Really pleased with it, even my wife wants one now. The down in the inner elbows does seem to migrate to the outside of the elbow but this has never been a problem. I could live without the drop tail but then again I've sometimes been really glad to have it in gnarly cold weather.
