Excellent jacket (smock). Completely changed my thoughts on layering!

Warm, oh so very warm. Breathable. Nigh on indestructible. Cosy. Comfortable. Not fiddly or over engineered. Simple. Excellent hood.
Slight faff to get on if you have broad shoulders. Not flattering. Very little hem adjustment.
Excellent. Now a firm favourite for a million uses.

DOES ALL T SAYS ON THE TIN!!

Wore it for (hard) winter walking in Austria, between 1200 and 1800 metres - temperatures down to -5. Weather was truly alpine, heavy snow etc. It kept me warm snug and dry worn without a base layer. It is a bulky garment, but for travelling I was able to carry it in a 'Vac-Pac' taking little room:- comparable with a Paramo or Rohan jacket. If you wear it solo, you need to carry something to retain your modesty if you chose or need to visit an 'alm' or 'rifugio!'
If worn solo, it can be very draughty round the waist, crotch stap or no. With a rucksack, however, no problem.
Given I bought it for £55, it really has proved an excellent investment. So much better than the layering option, although you do still need to carry enough extra clothing to stave off problems in the event of an accident etc.
