the cut is quite restrictive, especially when the collar is done up. Yes it is warm and keeps you dry, but how often does it rain when it's really freezing? More likely to snow. I have one and I will keep it for the time being, but I think the RAB synthetic belay which is water resistant is a better option. Ok the belay is not fully waterproof but I have worn mine almost daily throughout the winter and it has never let me down in terms of warmth and dryness.
