MORE VERSATILE THAN A GENERATOR - BETTER FIT THAN A PRISM2.0

Fit's me (unlike most other PL synthetics tried) - sleeves are long enough.
Warm and compressable
No fear of the wet with this.
Pertex microlight seems as tough as ever
Hood cords could do with a reposition - loops sit in front of face - I tuck them in hood,

Cuffs are a bit overdesigned, - could do with a (wider)single strip of velcro rather than the short narrow strip and 'dot' and gap. - Limiting
Pleased with it so far. Well made. Comforting warth, light/packable.

Cuffs and hood cord are the only (small) gripes - everything else is great. Can see it being an essential part of my kit.

Haven't used it enough yet to really comment on reliability, but the Pertex microlight on my Lightspeed seems resistant to brambles so hope this is too!

Got mine for £78 post free from Ultralightoutdoorgear.co.uk -great communications

REALLY LIKE THIS JACKET!

Stylish, great fit - love the long arms, covers your bum and warm for the weight of it. Good hood. Feels so light and soft to wear.
I never like the hood adjusters which are near the face. They don;t get in the way really but personally wish manufacturers would find another way.
I can see me buying another one if this one wears out. The sort of jacket you can wear out in the hills and in the pub or like me, to work. I've got the 2007/8 version.

DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT.

Super lightweight, packs down into virtually nothing and provides excellent warmth. Excellent fit.
Zip something snags
I love this jacket so much. I always carry it with me whether I'm walking or even skiing as it's no hassle to carry around and the level of warmth it offers gives me real confidence that I'm kitted out properly for all weathers. Pop it under a shell and you're good to go in some serious cold weather.

EXCELLENT INSULATION PIECE

Warm, Very compressable, small pack size, descrete yet smart(ish) look for off the mountain.
Pertex is a little prone to snags and holes. But to be expected.
Excellent. However, the hood should be detatchable hood because it bulks up at colo when used in layering system.

WARM, LIGHT, SNUG

Way too warm to walk in, I keep this in the bottom of my pack for stopping on cold hilltops. It's very windproof and a nice tight cut. Probably equivalant to a 300 wt fleece, but windproof, and better in the wet. Not much more to add - does what it says on the tin.
No volume reducer makes the hood next to useless unless you can hold it back over your eyes with one hand. The top of the zip could do sith slightly better protection as it tends to grind into your chin.
Fantastic warmth to weight ratio, highly recommended. As above, got mine from the excellent Tower Ridge Direct.
