Great piece of warmwear. Sizes are huge (I am XL in most gear but am somewhere between M and L for this).

90% OF THE ARMED FORCES CANT BE WRONG

Warm when wet, dries quickly, hard wearing, extremely comfortable, easy care, the list goes on.
It melts, watch those dog ends and cookers. Makes you look like an off duty squadie.
No fashion frills, just the best. I have been stood on the moors in torrential rain without cover for longer than is healthy waiting to be picked up, I wore it under a jacket and was toastie warm depite being soaked.

I WEAR NEARLY EVERYDAY.

Light, very warm even when wet.
Too warm for walking.
This is a superb jacket. I spend a lot of time outdoors with my job and this is never off my back, I've even got it on now!
When I'm off hiking it lives in the bottom of my pack. It's great for sitting around in the tent or on the tops eating my butty's. I even wear it pot holing when it gets soaked and it's still warm. It is getting a bit tatty but it still performs as well as the day I bought it. When it finally dies I will dash out and buy another.

THE COMFIEST AND WARMEST OUTER JACKET I'VE EVER HAD

Really cosy to wear, it's windproof, has a high collar, no draughts get in the neck when it's fully zipped up. nor in the elasticated cuffs or drawstring hem. Doesn't restrict movement too much. Dries quickly if it gets damp. Packs down to small size in its own stuffsack, so doesn't take up too much room in your rucksack. Fold it in half and put it in your sleeping bag stuffsack for a really comfortable pillow.
The outer pertex shell could be stronger - mine is wearing and fraying around the cuffs and hem. You still need a waterproof in anything other than a few spits of rain.
As far as I know, there's nothing else in it's class (forget down ones, which must stay dry) and I wouldn't swap it for anything else.
