WICKS BETTER THAN MANY 'TECHNICAL' BASELAYERS

Lovely soft feel (vast improvement over older North Face shirts).

Mesh area below collar.

Tabbed sleeves.

Large breast pocket (zipped).

Well cut.

Wicks very well.
Creases quite badly for travel.
I'm a big fan of 'traditional' walking shirts, and North Face make good ones. Sleeves are great in strong sunshine as well as providing that tiny bit of extra warmth on cool mornings/evenings when the day is hot. If like me you work where a collar is required all week, your neck can suffer when exposed to the weekend sunshine in a collar-less top - these avoid the problem.

The button up tabs hold the sleeves up well, without the restrictive rolling up of conventional long sleeved shirts.

What separates this from other manufacturers' shirts is the plaid weave - when damp with sweat some of the fibres expand slightly pulling away from your body and standing slightly proud of the rest of the shirt. It handles sweat extremely well.

Not super cheap but very good value for a garment that's versatile and works so well.
