Haglofs Ambo Long Shorts

Haglofs Ambo Long Shorts
One of our favourite shorts ever - wear them walking, wear them climbing, wear them to the pub, for a picnic, to feed the ducks. They're cut long and loose but still properly tailored.

Outdoor shorts are a nightmare. All too many of them are both too short and come out of the same identikit, ulti-pocketed, dull as ditchwater, cargo short. The Haglöfs Ambo Long isn't remotely like that. In fact, at first glance, you could easily confuse them with rather nicely cut, loose ...  Continue reading

Cotswold are currently selling these at half price, seem to have all sizes

Guess they must have had trouble persuading anyone to stock them then. Suppose the whole polycotton thing maybe a bit of a Scandinavian thing.

Having checked whats interesting is how extensive this is in terms of 'current' stock, and how agressive Cotswolds ar being with the prices. Even the red lizard pants are half price and they've got quite widely stocked in other colours.

(Looks a fine colour for a pair of trousers to me!)

Bought a pair of the Ambo's but trying them on makes me think I'm wearing advertising boards or cardboard cut outs, they're so stiff. Anyone know if they soften up when washed? (Obviously if I do that I can't return them if they're still stiff....). Thx.

Need to know

Great loose and long cut, decent mobility, comfortable when the going gets hot and they don't look like shapeless, identikit, multi-pocketed cargo shorts.
You'll probably need to add a belt to side-step low-slung short syndrome. May make short legs look stubby.
