COMFORTABLE BUT FLAWED
Good cut. Stretch in fabric makes them very comfortable
Again, pockets too small. DWR not as good as some. Biggest problem is very poor abrasion resistance - fabric pills badly and is showing signs of ware after very modest use. The fabric simply won't last long in high abrasion areas.
Nice when new but won't last so cannot be recommended. I doubt Helly still uses the fabric........

EXCELLENT HIKING TROUSER
Comfort, wind resistance.
Agree with other reviewers - silly pockets.
Bought these after reading various good reviews and have not been dissapointed so far. I have not had the pleasure of horizontal rain in them as yet so cannot comment on whether I experience the same performance as other reviewers but in strong wind in the high peaks last week they were excellent. Recommended.

EXCELLENT
Water/wind resistant. Good fit and very comfortable. Stretch gives good mobility. Fast drying.
Pockets are neither here nor there. Too small to put anything in, though with the cut of the trouser you probably wouldn't want anything in them anyway.
Very comfortable, not too warm or cold. Kept me dry walking in horizontal rain/sleet.
Got mine in a sale for £35, so excellent value for money.

PERFECT FOR THE UK
Comfort, cut, water/wind resistance.
Those trendy upside-down pockets.
I've used Schoeller and it isn't as good as this stuff, in my opinion. The cut of the trousers is very good, not too close, but close enough for running/climbing cycling as well as walking. The level of comfort is excellent - I wore them in near gail force winds and torrential rain in the Lakes soon after I bought them and couldn't believe the level of performance. I even like the colour!
