I really like these trousers and they fit me well, but not for winter months (without something underneath) Continue reading...

Maybe its just me, a lone voice in the wilderness. The cruel world shows that others like them so much and yet laughs in my face. Where oh where can I get a pair of comfy, walking troos in a short leg that dont Continue reading...
A really good pair of hiking trousers. They're really comfortable in most conditions, dry quick from wet , breathe very nicely and are useable even when it gets very cold (as long as you supplement them with a Continue reading...

Excellent walking trousers until it starts raining. The third time I wore them it started raining and within only a few minutes my legs were wet. Definitely not shower proof.

Showerproof?  No!   One of the best makes of walking kecks?  YES!!!

Indeed. Really its the drying speed which matters with something so light. And keeping decent durability.

To be fair, Montane do advertise their DWR ability a little bit, and as I remember used to give them a fairly high weather resistance score. I think I can remember being fractionally irritated, but it was really only fractional

I used them this week in the Brecons, having proofed them with Nikwax.  They still wetted out quickly, but likewise they dry quickly.

Got caught in a V heavy shower in mine last week. Yes the thigh part wetted out quite quickly, but as it was still very warm it was almost pleasant. Do they dry quickly? - unbelieveably so, would I change them - Never!!

Yep great trousers but if you want any weather resistance you have to wash them every time in tech wash.......when they dry so fast why bother!

aye you don't buy them as waterproof trousers, they're magic as they are..
