FANTASTIC FOR HILLWALKERS
Extremely lightweight
Very quick to dry
Windproof and breathable
Very durable
Some people may prefer bigger pockets with zips, but I have never found this necessary.
Although strictly speaking these are climbing trousers, they are also absolutely superb for walking, especially for those who tend to get hot. I've used mine at least once a week for several years, and they're still performing really well. I did develop a small tear at one stage when scrambling downhill, but this hasn't increased in size at all.
I wear them all year round, combining them with Helly Hansen Lifa Long Johns in winter.
If they ever wear out, I will definitely buy another pair!

Trousers primarily aimed at "climbers" .
Constructed in tactel, these trousers are very light and easily compressed for packing. The fabric, despite being lightweight is remarkably durable. Very windproof and very quick drying. The cut of the cloth is fairly loose which allows ventilation in summer and for winter allows one to complement them with thermals for a very effective and lightweight combination. The "Rockdancer" motif was very loud and GETS YOU NOTICED.
Only two hand pockets. The "Rockdancer" motif was very loud and GETS YOU NOTICED!!
I have just dug these out from my climbing kit after about 8 years of not wearing them. They still fit!! The motif, Thank Goodness! has finally worn off. However, in action these are incredible. In the 1990's I wore them almost continually for about 4 years when I was working full time in outdoor Ed. the pockets have holes from carrying nails & screws but otherwise are fine. For winter they were great in combination with the eponymous Ronhills tracksters. A great pece of kit that I have re-discovered.
