EXPLORIST 600. AND EXPLORIST XL

Reliable. fast reciever. fairly effective as a road GPS in Europe and USA, Next to useless off road due to lack of Mapping availability in the UK.
Magellans in the USA now can download the national geographic topo maps which are good, but as usual the UK is ignored by US manufactures . The Marine charting of UK waters is very Good
Expensive in the UK.Magellan in their wisdom have stopped selling the Topo GB product which reduces the effictiveness of the whole Explorist and Triton range to zero. Effectivley you dont get any maps for the hills of the UK on the whole Magellan Range. Solution- buy the satmap active 10 with full OS 25.000 maps
Good road and marine GPS . But useless for walking. The Satmap is a much better solution
