Good value and a great back up in an emergency

Small, lightweight, does the job
None really
Ive had my ETREX for several years and its still going well. When I first got it I also got the Memory Map software (Lake District 1:25,000) and they work well together. Its particularly good when you get back from a walk and plug it into your laptop and Memory map shows you where you have been (and where you went wrong!)
Its a basic model but it does the job - Its good to know that when you are lost in the fog - you turn it on and it gives you your grid reference. I rarely use it for navigating, but i have in the past and there was no real issues - its one of those things you need to use regularly to get used to it as if you dont use if for several months it takes a while to find your way around the menu screens. If it broke i would definitely replace it.
