SUCK IT AND SEE
Constant "on bite" delivery of fluids on the go. Platypus Lifetime guarantee.
Inside of tube gets dirty but you can use Milton sterilising fluid or bicarbonate of soda to keep it clean. Securing clip not very long lasting. Losing track of the number of times I've run out of water from the 2l bag - I just seem to guzzle it down.
Great bit of kit that encourages me to keep the fluids going in on a long walk. You can screw the tube to most regular sized used soft drink bottles - eg cola, lemonade bottles, to save buying a Platypus bag if you want.

VALUABLE AID TO HYDRATION
Rugged and lightweight - it quickly establishes itself as a must-have aid to hydration using the 'little often' maxim regrading hydration.
Easily becomes dirty from backwashed saliva (my theory!) and can be difficult to keep clean. Freezes up in winter conditions and wind chill so I invert mine to keep the nozzle free. After half a year, the leather clip snapped in half due to wear and tear.
A solid and essential piece of kit which encourages you to drink on the hoof - however, some drawbacks (dirt, freezing and the breaking clip) leave room for improvement.

A LIFE-SAVER IF YOU CAN KEEP IF CLEAN
Enables you to keep drinking when on the move w/out the aggravation of taking your rucksack off.
Trying to keep the tube clear of undesirables. Currently using Milton sterilising fluid.
One of the most important pieces of kit in my rucksack. I've had a reputation for not drinking enough, especially when climbing hills.
This now enables me to drink little and often and I know that is the best policy.
