GOOD GENERAL PURPOSE WALKING CRAMPONS

Quick to fit
quite light
strong design
come with anti-ball plates
None really
I've had these 6 years now and have used them in Britain and abroad. Most recenly used on Great end on Sunday, they are still as good as the day of purchase. I'll get many a happy winters day out of them yet. Crunch,crunch,crunch....GREAT.

EASY TO FIT AND SPIKEY

Tool-less set up, easy to fit and they stay in place.
Fit B0 boots (I'm a size 11)
None - as long as you know your own limitations
I got these to use with my B0 boots - I wasn't going to invest in winter boots until I needed to. For walking on snow and ice the combination just worked. From the first step I just walked - no trips, no ripped trousers, no adjusting..... no worries.

When I eventually decide to get B1 or B2 boots then I expect that these crampons will perform just the same if not better, but until then I will be happy to pair up these and my B0 boots on all the slippy stuff I encounter.

SIMPLE TO FIT AND WORK SUPERBLY

Simple to fit, reliable, work well
Nothing I've found
A great crampon. They do everything asked: 1) They are simple to fit on the hill (assuming you have adjusted length etc before you go). 2) They are reliable 3) They work well to keep you upright and secure on the snow and ice.

HIGH PERFORMANCE - WORTH THE MONEY

Excellent compatibility with Scarpa SLM3 (you always seem to see them displayed together in shops!); easy to adjust; easy to fit with gloved hands; straps stay tight; natural walking action occured in less than 2 hrs for me with no trips or ripped trousers.
No apparent weaknesses after 2 initial 2hr outings. Obviously you are paying for the quality.
Once you have set the length using the adjuster, you can actually remove the adjuster and replace it with a bolt and self-locking nut. Saves a bit of weight and reduces mechanical complexity.

EASY TO FIT - EXCELLENT

Very easy to adjust to different boot sizes. Quick to put on and take off with some practice.
The supplied bar should be longer by default - you can only just fit a pair of 10's into it!
Great! Now we just need enough snow and ice for me to get good use...
