Good for car camping if you accept the quirks of petrol stoves. Heavy

Get it set up and it works very well, and is fast.
Tough. and easy to pack into a car.
Built like a tank
Weighs about as much as a tank
How Heavy? According to Coleman's website: Weight: 5.3 kg
Don't use in a tent, as it can flare when lighting.
I just use unleaded, which lasts for ages, and is easy to get hold of.

Probably more controllable and faster than our gas stove at home.

can be a bit scary if you aren't used to petrol stoves

Drinks fuel like a V8

Tough
Simple to light
Smart wind shield
Classic, fold-up design
Crude
Seems to run on petrol OK but guzzles Coleman fuel like you woudln't believe
Prone to blockages and stopping working without any apparent reason
In theory the perfect camping stove but everyone I know who has one, including me, has had problems with it. Seems to work well on unleaded, which stinks and is unhealthy, but run some Coleman fuel through it and it's like driving around in a Ford V8...

FULLY RECOMMENDED... A GREAT PIECE OF KIT!!!

Turns camp cooking into home cooking, good strong design - when closed is like a metal briefcase. You can buy unleaded petrol anywhere, simple effective and long burn time on a tank. Windshield effective. Ideal car camping kit!
You wouldnt take it up Ben Nevis in a backpack.
Petrol having the temprement it has, this one is for the adults.
I have a 'diesel' Land Rover.
I was introduced to this stove quite recently, until then I was a 'trangia' man through and through. I wouldnt use anything else!.

For car camping this is the first and only choice of stove, dont buy anthing else! forget those crappy little gas cylinders which only run out when you want hot food, couple this with a petrol car and that jerry can of fuel that kicks about in the boot and you have the ability to cook like you are at home in your own kitchen. A first class product, easy to use once you've used it once. Metal box is strong enough to last and still get knocked about. It packs down inside itself. I will be using it at home when I rip out my kitchen for a refit!!!
