Reliable mini furnace

Simple(for a liquid fuel stove), folds down small, very hot, quiet, built in shaker cleaning needle
Difficult to get a nice simmer, weak plastic pump parts
In my view the best of the MSR range, although all suffer from easily broken plastic pump parts. Great for boiling water fast, but simmering is trickier (although not impossible)

A SPOT OF WELDING?

Will boil water & melt snow like a demon!
Not the best at simmer. Pretty good at incinerating though!
Bobby dazzler as long as your not expecting to knock up Gordon Ramsey type feasts!

DIRTY, SEXY AND VERY HOT!!

bought this stove in addition to my pocket rocket (Leave this home), Fuel easy to find, Burns HOT HOT HOT and the running costs are low, Cost 50p to fill up with unleaded and lasts for 1-2 weeks field use.
Boys dont mind a little dirt (soot) I use some gloves to pack away ;-) singed eyebrows when priming so read the instructions!! I had some fuss trying to get the stove to sit flat once attached to the bottle, but after twisting to attached fuel line it behaved.
Not for first timers, but a fantastic stove and prob the best i have tried. And if camping is not your game then you could use it for hot air ballooning :-)

NONE BETTER

Powerful, stable and easy to use when you learn how. Goes anywhere (even fits in a large pocket)
Steep learning curve at first. It terrified my girlfriend when she primed it too vigoriusly! Now she loves it too.

Shame aabout the soot from priming.
Who cares about a bit of soot when you can have a hot brew within minutes, even in the middle of the Brecon Beacons in winter.

Perfect for the job.

Read the instructions! - Just enough petrol to dampen the wick, switch off and light. Turn on again before those yellow flames go out but if it goes out light the burner, not the wick.

had one for years.
