THE PERFECT COMPLEMENT FOR CAMPING

So comfotable and light you'll forget you're even wearing it. Has a Positive switch for on/off.
A nice little touch in the electronics for on/off after selecting the power setting (you'd have to use one to know what i mean!)
None really, apart from the embarrassment of talking to my Maglite and announcing "Your sacked, I have a new best friend!"
A perfect accessory for wearing around a campsite at night. The wide band makes it so comfortable. A must have, and would buy again if I lost it. Price reflects quality, Don't be shy with your cash. Different light intensity setting and tilt function make the perfect balance against battery life for close up things like cooking, eating or Rummaging in your tent .

A GREAT TORCH FOR ANYTHING

The brightness Settings, allow use for running, climbing, reading, navigation...

I use it for running due to it weight and give enough to see fine while running. It so light i normally forget its on, sit down on my computer and get a sharp glair in my eyes:)

Climbing its great for setting up bivi or messing on with rope work. but its short range prevents route spotting. So only take it if your not planning of staying the night
I guess Price

but if it my current tikka breaks i will be buying the same one again
Its a great light with 100's of hours of burn time its prefect for anything. But dont be expecting a 100m beam, but at the same time dont be blinding your partner :-)

PERFECT FOR CAMPING

* Duh, the weight obviously. A miniscule 78g
* Long battery life
* Adjustable intensity and tilting housing
* The £30 price tag. Tip - buy on eBay, I saved a tenner
What a great piece of kit. I've only just bought one, and only used it on camping trips so far, but it has met all my expectations. I found that the low intensity setting was perfectly adequate for reading or cooking. After my previous Petzl Zoom headtorch this feels like a huge leap forward.

IMPRESSIVE FOR A SMALL PIECE OF KIT

Variable power is useful for rummaging in the tent.
Uses little power.
Good 10m visibility on full brightness
I wouldn't pay high street prices - have a nose around online, I got mine for £21.
It won't match my ZOOM for distance but it is a very handy piece of kit that takes up little space. You will also be less likely to switch this on by accident which I've done once or twice with my ZOOM.

PERFECT

Variable light, battery will far outlast any short trip away, switch much improved over the Tikka standard, soft and comfy headband, tilt mechanism.
None.
I resisted getting one of these new-fangled LED torches for years, relying instead on my old Petzl Zoom (which certainly helps build up the neck muscles, if nothing else!). However, having heard good reports I relented and bought a standard Tikka. Needless to say, I've now given the standard Tikka to my son and bought myself the Plus model. This is simply the most well thought-out and implemented piece of kit I've seen in years, a true design classic. Buy one.
