Excellent lightweight winter bag

Fantastically light for the warmth it gives
Used mine at -5deg C in deep winter and was toasty
well made
simple
lots of options on the website - design your own!
Price (wait for the sale)
Another great lightweight down bag from PHD. Their kit is really top notch but it is also expensive. Got mine in the bi-annaul sale and a real bargain. Have used mine in the depths of winter and coupled with a bivvy bag or sleeping bag cover ts a really winning combination. Would recommend the drishell version and I didnt have any zips on mine but this was only for use in the winter so venting not required

VERY WARM, WEIGHS NOTHING, BIT TIGHT

Lofts incredibly well, weighs nothing, has no pointless frills. I have the bare bones zipless version, the warmth is remarkable and the pack size tiny.
There appears to be less down on the underneath of the bag, which means if you sleep on your side like me, your back can get cold. This isn't a major issue unless you're at the limit of the bag's temperature range. It's average length, and combined with no chest baffle this can make it hard to tighten up the hood fully and seal yourself in. It's cut pretty tight, so don't expect to be able to wriggle your legs or arms much once you are in.
By far the best bag I've owned. Combined with a light synthetic outer bag and a bivvi bag you have a combo that will keep you warm to -8 or -9, shed water, be unaffected by condensation and still come in at about 1.5kg

Superb warmth for weight.

Extremely warm for weight and pack size, and not too restrictive. Had a full length side zip fitted, which means it can be opened out in warmer weather, so is the nearest thing you can get to a four season (UK conditions) sleeping bag. Also appears very well made, although I've only had it for a few months so can't yet vouch for durability.
Zip does tend to snag a little, but it's not a great problem. Also has no shoulder baffle, but then that would add weight, and it seems warm enough at sub-zero temperatures to me.
Best warmth to weight ratio of any bag I've come across, and very comfortable.
