Great mat, tad heavy

extremely comfy and warm
very robust
non slip design
packs down to a reasonable size
price
weight
bought this a few years ago now but its still the number one mat for a warm comfy nights rest. Technology has moved on a bit and there are lighter self inflating mats out there now. However, it is such a good mat that I think I will still use it especially in the winter when you expect to have to carry a heavier pack. It has stood the test of time and I have never had a problem with it. I have the older version with the separate air pillow/bellows. Never used it. Always have inflated by mouth and the issue of smelly inners has never arisen (some say the down inside if wet with breath moisture can become mouldy)
Its a great mat but its not lightweight

Amazingly warm and comfortable

Light
Very very warm
Comfortable, even on bumpy ground
Clever inflation pump
You don't slide around on it
Down fill means no blowing up by mouth
If it pops you will be cold
Standard size not big enough for big people
Expensive
This mat has transformed my cold weather camping. As a cold sleeper I always thought I needed a super warm bag, but, no, I just needed a down mat underneath me. Amazing performance, and after 20 years of sliding around on a Thermarest, this one has a non-slip surface !

Fantastic warmth and comfort.

More comfortable than my bed
Warm, warm, warm!
Lighter and more compact than anything that even approaches its specs.
Nothing yet!
I can't believe the difference this has made to my camping experience.
Like other reviewers I too found myself waking up uncomfortable and in pain throughout the night. Not any more!
I got the 9cm version for just £95 brand new. The 7cm version wasn't much different in price so I thought I'd give over a little bit more pack and weight in the hope of getting sleep. I haven't regretted it at all. The 7cm mat may be just as good but I'll never know. I do camp throughout the year in all weathers, often without a tent so a little extra warmth and insulation is always welcome.
I find it easy to inflate and much easier to deflate and pack than my old Thermarest.
Having tried this I can't ever see me going back to any other type of mat.

THE DOGS BOLLICKS

Very warm and cosy, used this mat at -5 in the Nevis ranges and was warm and cosy. The stuff sack is a good idea and so is the puncture repair kit and should always be taken with you.
inflating it using the bag is a pain. Also trying to detatch the inflator is a bit tricky but once you get the hang of it its ok.It is a bit heavy and there are lighter mats on the market but once you have tried it and the warmth and cozyness at night and you wake up in the morning refreshed when all your mates have had a rubbish nights sleep and cold... its worth the effort !
would never buy another mat
