Self inflate bed roll.
moving from a foam mat to the self inflating mat is the most comfortable change of gear I have ever made. Customer service is also fantastic.
Moving from a foam mat to a self inflating mat is one of the most expensive changes I have ever made. Although the product does self inflate, eventually, to get the mat as firm as I like it you do need to top it up yourself. There are cheaper and just as comfortable options out there.
Short of carrying an air bed with you. You probably wont get a more comfortable night out in the hills.
