WILD CAMPING JUST GOT VERY VERY CIVILISED...

The chair is basically an envelope for your therm-a-rest; stuff half of the folded t-a-r doubled into one half, the other in the other half and then pull tight on the webbing straps to adjust it from upright to reclined. There are stiffened struts on either side of this envelope which hinge in the middle (but very low tech, no moving parts to worry about) and give the chair some rigid structure. It's the work of moments to turn this light (14 oz) floppy nylon / webbing contraption into a comfy chair. No more hunched over in crosslegged agony as your thighs seize solid and your hips crumble. And as Stuart says, its waterproof / resistant; after an evening lounging around on wet grass not only was my bum dry but so was the t-a-r when it was time for sleep. Then when it's time to pack up it rolls into a cyclinder about a foot long by about two inches diameter - well packable.
The struts poke me in the ribs on occasions but all I need to do is tug or loosen the straps and the problem's gone. Otherwise it's perfect.
How did I survive camping before this chair was invented? I love it!

20 QUID WELL SPENT.

Seems to be waterproof/resistant so the mat doesn't get wet from the grass.
Adjustable for you preferred sitting position.
Easy to set up
Doesn't take up much room, light.
No cup holder like those camping armchairs!!
Makes a week of camping without the space to carry a proper chair a lot more comfortable. A great way to spend £20. My girlfriend laughed when I gave her one of these chairs for her birthday, she was telling everyone how great they were when we were camping though.
