DOES THE JOB IT IS DESIGNED TO DO
Stops my girlfriend lying on the ground halfway through a night of wriggling to get closer to my warm body and then waking me up to let me know that she is cold and uncomfortable.
Doesn't actually stop the girlfriend moaning (shame), but does let us get a good night's rest so that she can resume with full vigour in the morning.
It costs £4, what is everybody complaining about? Ask me at 3am if I would pay you £4 to shut the missus up and I would hand you my wallet and ask you to take what you felt appropriate!!

You could make it yourself, but will you?
They are pre-made to measure. They only cost 4 quid. They work.
4 quid is too much for what they are. The attached keeping pouch is really pointless as it doesn't pull shut or serve any purpose at all.
They are two figure of eight loops, one for shoulder height and one for hip height. True you could make them easily, but if you value that time at more than £4, then just drink 2 fewer pints and buy one.
They work well in keeping the mats in place because they are slightly sticky-feeling on one side, but I'd struggle to design a holding pouch that badly. One of the double loops is attached to it and the other is free. I could see this one getting lost at some point, because the pouch doesn't shut. This is beyond daft Thermarest!
