Bombproof especially where big dogs are concerned.
Straightforward to put up and reasonably quick from a reasonably small package. The main reason anyone buys these tents is the airyness inside due to it being made of cotton
Could be a bit bigger
I got this tent after some one had stolen my marechal scooteriste which is the only tent that would beat this one but the scooteriste is no longer made. Used in conjunction with an under sheet this vango stood in a virtual puddle all night without letting in any water through the ground sheet in a steady scottish down pour. One of my dogs cannoned into the tent and things came adrift but it was all easily repaired or rather re-set since nothing broke. The only thing I am changing are the pegs because where I camp the ground is stony.

JUST KEEPS ON GOING
Solid
No. Really, really solid.
Tad on the heavy side (8.6 kilos?)
Tad bulky as well (fills my 50 litre pack)
I've inherited a Mk5 (and a Mk4) which is now 25+ years old. It's been everywhere in the UK, and is as strong as hell.

INCREDIBLY RELIABLE, DURABLE TENT
I have had my Vango Force 10 Mk 5 for nearly 30 years and I have used it for at least 14 nights, and at most three months, for every single year since I was 16. It has withstood gales (Fastnet, 1979, October 1987), hot sun and countless storms. I have used it on countless cyling holidays (it breaks down nicely between three people), with the Scouts and on family holidays.
It goes on foreever so you do't have the fun of buying new tents. It's too heavy for cycling, but great for taking biking, canoeing or sailing.
This seems like an expensive product, but in terms of , its robustness, reliability and performance its truly value for money, the best £60 (1975 price) I have ever spent.

NOT A LIGHTWEIGHT BUT UNBEATABLE AS A BASECAMP TENT
Strong,
Proven, just look at all those orange tents in expedition photos of the last thirty + years.
Simple
Heavy
No tent I'd rather be in during a storm in the hills. Certainly no lightweight backpacking model but at a fixed camp you will be snug inside while everyone else chases their tend down the hurricane force winds!
