Great cheap, starter family tent for basecamping with. Bought mine for £50 4 years ago. The thing I like about this one is that its easy to put up and gives you a lot of head room and storage space in the gener Continue reading...

We have had our V5oo tent for 4 years and used it 7 times. on the third time of using it we had real issues, the front kept blowing in on our heads as we were sat in the porch but at that point the tent stayed in tact. When we used it the following year we had similar issues and this time the middle of the front porch pole broke but we managed the rest of our holiday in it.This year we have used it 3 times at the end of april we went for a weekend away one of the main poles broke and went through 2 seperate bits of canvas and we have just returned from a weekend away when the porch pole was damaged again it was quite windy on both these occassions but the lack of support poles and bad design over all is terrible we paid £89 for a tent from what we thought was a good name. I got no help from vango as poles and collateral damage from pole breakage are not covered in vangos lifetime garuntee. overall we are very dissapointed and will not buy vango products from now on. I will be contacting vango to see if they will compensate us but am not very hopeful.
