GOOD, WELL THOUGHT-OUT TENT, VERY LIGHT FOR THE SIZE
Very light, and very long - essential for the tall camper!
18 pegs! Therefore takes a long time to pitch properly. Also relatively long so may not fit in tight spots very well.
I bought mine to replace a VauDe Mk3 with a view to getting something lighter where my feet didn't push the inner against the outer. I'm pleased with it so far (10 nights use) but that's early days. Although you can get it up with 4 pegs and get in out of the rain, it takes 18 pegs in total for a 'full' pitch which is time consuming. I've had a bit of condensation on the outer using it in UK winter, the solution seems to be to have the inner tent solid doors mostly opened down to allow a through draught. I have a footprint for it which I've used everytime, but I've not found the optimum way to pack & pitch it yet - as mentioned in the Kaitum 3 review, you don't really want to pack it with the outer damp from condensation; so packing the inner and outer separately is probably a good idea. General quality is good, and the V-pegs (like the VauDe's before it) are excellent. Am using it in anger on a 10 day trek in Norway next week, watch this space for an update!
