Great wee cheap 1 man tent

Easy to pitch once you have attached the inner to the outer on your first outing. Keep connected and chuck it up as one ;-)

Every time i've used mine (2011 model) it's been absolutely pouring down with rain and i've been bone dry every morning so it is definately waterproof.

There's plenty of room for myself and my rucksac BUT i wouldn't share with anyone as it would be a bit too snug.
NOT a 2 man tent BUT a comfy 1 man with gear.

When i sit up my head touches the inner fly sheet, i'm 5'11.

Slight condensation each morning.
A great wee tent that i'm going to have for a long time as it's comfy, waterproof and roomy enough for myself and my gear, just the way i like it ;-)

!!! RECOMMENDED !!!

Definitely not a two man tent

Reasonably lightweight
Very Water tight
Quick to pitch (5 minutes if I'm going for it)
The 2008 model has a little peg missing from the back which would just keep the tension in the back a little better
It's not a two man tent. Unless you fancy leaving your bags
No room to cook
For £55 in 2008 this was a bargain.
There're only a couple of niggles as previously mentioned, but for a cheap lightweight tent this fills most requirements

Originally bought to do DofE Bronze, it went through this easily as I was alone
Silver was more awkward, bags ended up in a survival bag with the end rolled under the door we did have trouble attempting to cook in the doorway, eventually deciding it'd be better to suffer the midges than burn the tent down...

On Gold training we attempted to fit the bags by our feet, which ended with a very sore back, and a lack of blood in my feet

As a solo tent this fills all the requirements, except the cooking problem, but with some string and a survival bag a shelter can be wipped up pretty quickly!

NICE WEE TENT

Light, small pack size, very easy to put up.Loads of storage pockets.
Chilly in cold weather due to mostly mesh inner.Issues with cooking due to the small porch as mentioned in nearly every review.
I have a lot of confidence in this wee tent,I use it all year round but wouldn't use it at the top of a Ben.It's fine for an adult and a child/dog.

GREAT TENT

Light Weight easy to put up & take down Very Waterproof
Small Porch
Well what can I say about the Banshee other than "The best tent I have Ever owned!" It is a fantastic tent & at 2kg I'm surprised anyone can say they need a lighter tent. It is a great bit of kit I used it on my Summer Mountain Leader Training pitched it on dry flat land. Had very heavy rain that night & woke up with a stream flowing under the tent. Not even the smallest bit of water got into the tent thanks to the Bathtub groundsheet. Two of us slept in the tent though the Rucksacks have to be kept out side (On slightly Higher land I'm glad to say) under rain covers but you would expect this in such a small tent. The tent is very easy to put up & dry's very quickly. Could do with a slightly bigger opening at the front to allow for better cooking but other than that it is a fantastc tent for £80 & I would reccomend it to anyone.
