the light weight is good for lone campers, but if you normally go with someone else, I would buy a bigger tent and split the tent between you to reduce what you carry.

I bought this tent online for less than I could find a TN Laser Competition. I have owned and used Force10 tents before and always found them reliable and well made. The Helium is no different. I've pitched it Continue reading...

One thing to note it is for smaller people, trust me anyone much over 6' should look elsewhere.

I do like the idea of the fly pitch first option. That means it can be used as a fly only single skin / tarp tent option. Does anyone know how heavy the fly, poles and the odd peg needed is? Forget the bag afterall who still takes the original stuff sack tents come in these days.

Jeeeze! Do I sound like a weight weenie these days!! 5g pegs too! Haven't they heard of titanium? Still they do use thinner webbing and the vango tents in their lighter ranges are now a lot better than their family tents. These tents have some really neat little design touches. Even the little porkers in the Vango range like the Spectre 200 are close to 2kg for a two man and have quite good designs all for about £50-60 (if you shop around a bit). Man I should get a commision from Vango at this rate.

Obviously my Vango Spectre 200 and Force10 Vitesse 200 have both been great successes in my tent buying over the last few years so whilst not working for them I am quite positive about the brand. I don't work for them BTW!
