What do campers use for cooking

. What cooking equipment do other campers use or do you eat at the pub whenever you can. You should certainly ditch the camping gaz. The Butane/Propane mixes that you find in screw-in cartridges from Primus and Coleman (and others) is more efficient

Can anybody remind me of the timings and quantities I need to cook rice.A while ago someone cooked rice by heating it up then taking it off the stove and leaving the lid on for... minutes.Do you boil it for 5 mins first. Start from cold or boiling

What do you do?

(can’t wait for the practice). I’ve used to use a Trangia 25 complete with two pans, frying pan and kettle. This is one of the original bits of kit I’ve still got and love. I do find that cooking a hot meal and having a hot drink at the end
