That looked pretty dodgy - the ice disappeared in seconds!

It's never a good sign when there's water running under/over thin ice. We once had a slightly late week ice cragging in the Alps, it got progressively more dodgy as the week went on and various things just started falling off.

I'm guessing it might be one of those routes that gets the sun as the day goes on and you want to climb early.
