Original Dragon's Back Race On Video

Historic documentary footage of the original Dragon's Back race which is revived for the first time in 20 years this September.

Came across this 1992 documentary about the original Dragon's Back Race on YouTube. As you may know, the race was run only once, 20 years ago and is being revived for 2012 with sponsorship from Berghaus.

Okay, the voiceover verges on naff at times with lots of 'slaying the dragon' references, but there's some great footage of the runners in action. Clock the disturbing freshness of the leading competitors at the end of day one when they cross Snowdonia via Tryfan and Snowdon.

Definitely worth consideration for a nostalgic / aniticipatory lunch-time browse.
