The Guyrope Gourmet On Video

Just because you're under canvas, doesn't mean you can't eat with flair - check this out...

I first became aware of the existence of the Guyrope Gourmet thanks to Alpkit's Big Shakeout where he held a bit of a masterclass in outdoors cheffery with added strumming and singing.

The Gourmet's real name is Josh Sutton and, in the words of his web site he's 'a forty something ex hod carrier with a penchant for cooking, camping and writing. He holds a degree in Arabic with Middle Eastern & Islamic Studies from the University of Durham and an MA in Professional Housing Studies from Leeds Metropolitan University.'

'I believe', he says, ' that there's a guyrope gourmet in everyone'.

Anyway, the clip above is from BBC1's Inside Out programme and I absolutely defy you to watch it without salivating horribly. In fact I'm suddenly very, very hungry...
