Holy Island Midnight Challenge – this September
Can you reach Lindisfarne before the tide comes in?
This overnight team challenge will test your physical endurance – you will trek 60 miles in 30 hours – and take you on a journey in one of the most beautiful places in the UK.
Put your walking boots on and get together a team of 4 and you could take part in this *brand new* challenge. Starting on Sat 12 September 2009 from Melrose in the Scottish Borders you’ll trek across rolling farmland, green river valleys, grassy hilltops, rugged moorland and golden sand dunes to reach Holy Island on Sunday lunchtime, before the tide comes in. What’s more, by raising money for Christian Aid, you’ll be giving poor communities the chance of a brighter future.

Unforgettable
Jane Bennett, who took part in last year’s team challenge, said: ‘the feeling you get when you reach the finish with your team members is unforgettable - and working together under tough conditions means we can do anything now!'
The event is open to teams of four and takes places from 11 to 13 September 2009. Register for just £99 and commit to raising a minimum of £2,500. This includes accommodation at Melrose, a large cooked breakfast on Saturday morning, waterproof route guides, marshalled checkpoints with refreshments, full back up and lots of fundraising advice.
