Start with exhilarating climbs, exciting scrambles and adrenalin packed abseils at The Roaches. Situated in a steep wooded valley with rolling countryside to the north, this picturesque location on the edge of The Peak District is the ideal location to learn the basics of paddling. Watch the miniature railway trundle by on the far lakeshore as you get to grips with canoeing or kayaking.

Once you have dried off, you could head south to Cannock Chase for some great mountain biking. Ride for up to eighteen miles through this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A myriad of routes, crossing beautiful heathland and forest cater for all riding abilities. These are the former royal hunting grounds of the Bishops of Lichfield, so if you are lucky you might catch a glimpse of the deer that inhabit this wonderful area.
