Northern OMers might like to know that not only do we now have Selfridges and Harvey Nicks but the Daily Telegraph Adventure Travel Show has also made it outside the concrete perimeter of the M25.

The show's on at Manchester's G-Mex center this weekend 1st-2nd November. It's a good way of finding lots of adventure travel companies in one place - over 100 say the organisers - plus there's a two-day programme of lectures and talks from top travellers and explorers as well as a Travel Advice Theatre where you can get tips from the pros...

Tickets are a fiver in advance or £7.00 on the door. Open both days from 10 am to 6 pm.

Alienated southern shandy drinkers will get their own show at Olympia, definitely in London, on the 16th-18th January 2004.
