According to the excellent American Outside Magazine web site - www.outsidemag.com - the outstanding Slovenian high altitude specialist Tomas Humar is planning to solo a new route on the dangerous Rupal Face of Nanga Parbat in July.

Humar has an outstanding big mountain CV, but three years ago broke both legs in a freak accident while constructing his new house in Slovenia - see this OM story - his injuries were so severe that there were doubts over whether he'd ever walk again let alone climb.

It's worth checking out the Outside story for the link to a previous profile of Humar on the site. For more details on the man, check out his personal web site which comes in a choice of Slovenian or English.
