Kidnapped Brit Trekker Escapes From Captors

A teenage Briton held by Colombian guerillas escaped by jumping into a ravine and walking to safety some 12 days after being kidnapped

One of the British trekkers kidnapped by FARC guerillas in the north of Colombia has reportedly escaped from his captors by jumping into a ravine and walking out to safety.

Matthew Scott, 19, walked for two days surviving only on water until he reached an indigenous village some 12 days after being taken hostage.
