36 hours, but it could have been even quicker...

Trooper Johnson a 36 year old paraplegic has climbed El Cap in
Yosemite in 36 hours. Originally Johnson and his partners had aimed
for a 24-hour ascent, but they were held up near the top by what
Rocky Mountain News diplomatically describes as 'a pair of
international' climbers'... Probably commie pinko lefties eh? If only
Senator McCarthy were still climbing etc.
Still a pretty remarkable acheivement and one that raised some
40,000 dollars for charity. Wonder where those 'international
