Porter Protection Group Gets New UK Rep
The IPPG, which exists to improve conditions for trekking porters has a new UK rep and contact details. Plus how to contribute in a practical way

The UK branch of the International Porter Protection Group has a
new UK representative, Nayan Brown, who takes over from Ed
Cartwright.
The IPPG - see some of our previous articles at the bottom of the
page - exists to improve the working conditions of porters in major
trekking areas, particularly the Himalayas, and are responsible for
some fantastic initiatives, including a porter clothing bank in
Nepal.
If you've trekking in developing countries and seen the way some
local porters are treated at first hand, you'll appreciate just what
