Mountain rescue teams have reportedly recovered the bodies of two Japanese climbers swept away by an avalanche on Annapurna on Sunday.

Michio Sato, 43, of Nagoya, and Hideji Nazuka, 49, of Maibashi were part of the four-man Aichi Mountaineering Association expedition to Annapurna. According to the Kajee Times, the climbers were moving towards the summit when they were trapped in the avalanche above the second high-altitude camp at 20,667 feet.

More than fifty climbers have now been killed trying to reach the summit since it was first summitted back in 1950.
